Nicky Shotz was born Nicole Thorpe on May 30, 1993 in Chicago, IL. She grew up a tomboy in what most people call "the hood". Like alot of others her parents tried to give her and her siblings the best life possible. By the age of 13 her parents had managed to move the family from an apartment to their own home. As a kid Nicole remembered songs alot faster than others. This wasn't that big to other people eyes but to Nicole it was a gift. She decided to start writing music around the age of 10. She didn't know anything about rapping or singing. To help her structure her songs she would refer to the lyric book the came in her Usher albums. She really liked what she was doing. She liked her own songs but didn't know if anyone else would. She never told anyone about her talent. When she turned 13 she got serious about music. By the age of 14 She had more than 12 song books and a binder that was full of her songs. Around the middle of her 8th grade year in school she decided to get the girls opinion at school. They were surpised but they loved her songs. They gave her great honest feedback. Nicole was glad she let them hear her music. She started focusing on her myspace page. With no experience, no money, no friends and just a dream she managed to get her name known by different people all over the world. Working with people from Chicago to London. Nicole is not finished yet right now she is focused on school and her career she wants to get big before the age 19!
