Hope is a breath of fresh air. Born and raised in Mount Airy, North Carolina. Hope comes from a family of musicians. Her dad played bass in a few local gospel bands and her oldest brother played drums. She started singing when she was just a little girl in one of her dad's gospel bands and also in local church choirs. That is when she fell in love with music. In her teens, she moved to Pinehurst, North Carolina where she also started singing in a local church. When in high school, she was in the chorus ensemble and performed at the governor's mansion. In her senior year of high school, she entered the Miss Moore County Pageant, where she also sang as her talent. Once she turned age 21, Hope started going to karaoke shows in local restaurants and bars. That is where she came into her own. She has competed as far up as the state level in karaoke competitions. After singing karaoke for many years, she started writing her own songs. She performs her original songs at open mike nights around town and the surrounding areas and also at karaoke shows. Hope has written over 180 songs to this date and continues to write more every day. She is also building her own home studio to record other aspiring artists in, along with her own material. Hope has also co-written with several other artists and musicians. Hope's goals are to have her original songs picked up by major and independent records labels, along with film and tv placements. Hope writes material in several different genres of music spanning from pop, country, r&b, dance, singer/songwriter, latin, etc. Please stop by her profile page at www.myspace.com/sharonhope.
