* What is TriFame™?
TriFame™ is an interactive website that allows users to submit and vote on content in the areas of music, dance, and modeling. The top rated content will receive periodic prizes. These prizes will range from video games and MP3 players to cold hard cash. Additionally, there will be yearly prizes for the best content that could include record deals, modeling contracts, or thousands of dollars in cash.

* How does TriFame™ work?
You upload your content. It is automatically registered into the current contest, unless you opt not to participate. People will view and vote on your submissions, and the media with the highest ratings will receive the prizes. There will also be prizes randomly given out for voting, referrals, and uploading.

* Do I have to pay to use TriFame™?
No. This is a free service.

* How do the categories work?
You choose which category your content belongs under. TriFame™ reserves the right to relocate or remove your content if it does not fit under the correct category. There is the music category, the modeling category, the dance category, and the "Offbeat" category.

* What is "Offbeat"?
This is the miscellaneous category for any video that you think might be entertaining, but does not fit into any of the other categories. There will be prizes for this category just like the others.

* When is the TriFame Beta going to be over?
As soon as possible. We need to make sure that this website is as good as it can be, and that there is enough content on the site to run a fair contest. We are working very hard to ensure that this beta phase will be as short as possible. Just hang in there with us for a little while longer and we promise you will not be disappointed.

Voting, Contests, and Prizes

* How does the contest work?
There will be winners for each of the four categories, periodically throughout the year. There will also be end of year prizes for the best videos and pictures for the entire year. These submissions will go into the Hall of Fame. TriFame.com will also have a Hall of Shame that will contain additional prizes. Don’t worry though, if you don’t want to be in the Hall of Shame you have the option of turning that off.

* How does the voting work?
Voting will be based on a "star" system. The submissions with the highest average rating at the end of the contest period will win the prizes. There will be a minimum number of votes required in order to be eligible for prizes. In the event of a tie, the user with the most votes will win.

* How do I enter a contest?
Go to the "Contests" tab at the top of the website. There will be a link to enter the current month’s contest. This will bring up a page with all of the content you have uploaded to TriFame. You can opt-in any of the content that you feel is relevant for the current contest. (Please try to stay on topic, no music videos in the modeling contests, even if you are hot). In order to opt-in you just check the boxes under the content you wish to submit. Then you agree to the rules of the contest by clicking the box at the bottom and submit.

* How do I vote?
This is the easiest part. All of the content that is currently entered will have a pink background around it. If you want to vote on the content you just mouse over the number of stars you want to give it and click the star. This will submit your vote for that piece of content.

* How many times can I vote?
You may vote on as many pieces of content that you want to, but you can only vote on the same piece of content once.

* Can I change my vote?
Yes, you can always go back in and change your vote, but this will not count as a new vote.

* Why can’t I vote?
Make sure you are a registered user and logged in. In order to prevent people from inflating their scores we require that every vote be made by a registered user. This is just more incentive for you to tell your friends and family to sign up today and vote for you.

* What happens when I win a contest?
Well obviously you will win the prize listed, but that is not all. The top 3 winners from each contest will have their content moved to the winners circle for everyone to see. At the end of the year all of the winners circle content will be voted on for our end of the year Hall of Fame prizes. In order to win a contest you will need to be eligible so make sure you check out our contest rules.

* Can I resubmit the same content to another contest?
Yes and no. You can resubmit the same content to another contest of relevance as long as it did not make the winners circle. For example, if your picture in modeling doesn’t win you can’t enter it into the music contest because it is not relevant. Once content wins and makes the winners circle, then that specific content will be retired but the user can still submit other content into new contests.

* What is the minimum threshold for voting?
Check back for specific details.

* I don’t understand the contest.

Uploading

* How do I upload my content?
First, you must be a registered member of TriFame.com. After you login, go to the TriFame™ Upload page. There, you will be asked to select a file from your computer and then type in a title, a description, and tags for your file.

* What kind of videos and photographs can I submit?
As long as you're the creator, you can submit any video or photograph. However, we cannot accept anything illegal or obscene or similarly objectionable, including content that contains hate speech, infringes copyright, and/or violates personal privacy or obscenity laws and/or which we deem inappropriately offensive. TriFame™ does not allow pornography. We also support copyright laws and the doctrine of Fair Use (part of US copyright law).

* What are the size limits and file types on videos and pictures?
Videos must be under 1 GB (1024MB) in the following formats: AVI, MPEG, MPEG-4, Quicktime, WMV, MP3, and WMA.

Photographs and image files must be under 1 MB in the following formats: JPG, JPEG, or GIF.

* Is there a limit on the number of content I can submit?
Upload as many as you like as long as you've created them. There is currently no limit to the number of content a creator can upload.

* What is fraudulent tagging?
Fraudulent tagging is a term for adding irrelevant metadata (keywords, description, etc.) to your content for the purpose of drawing more traffic. TriFame™ does not allow this activity and we reserve the right to remove any non-relevant tags. Fraudulent tagging makes it difficult for viewers to find the content they are looking for and diminishes the TriFame™ experience for everyone. If you are suspected of fraudulent tagging, your account may be suspended until you change the information associated with your video. Please use only relevant information to describe your content.

* Why did my video get rejected or taken down?
Videos are most commonly rejected due to copyright infringement. If your video is rejected or removed, you should receive an email outlining the reasons. Please only use royalty-free music in your videos! If you have a question about why your video was rejected or what you can do to remove the copyright violation, contact us.

* How do you verify the rightful ownership of a video?
We strive daily to make sure that the content on our site is original and that the creators are credited and compensated for their work.

We have a staff of knowledgeable reviewers, who personally review each and every video before posting it publicly on the site. If your video gets wrongly rejected, you will have the chance to prove that it belongs to you.

What constitutes adequate proof will vary for each video. You might need to show written proof that you own the rights or you might just need to explain to us that you made the music and link to your band's website. It really depends on the situation. Our reviewers are just looking for something that makes them feel comfortable enough that an artist's copyright is not being infringed.

You should also know that if anyone were to contact us stating that there was some sort of infringement regarding a particular video, the matter would be investigated immediately.

* Can I upload content to TriFame™ in different languages?
Yes, TriFame™ accepts videos in all languages.

* How do I delete my content?
Until the development of the account management area is complete, to delete content you have submitted to TriFame™, simply send an email to info@trifame.com with the subject "Delete Content" and tell us the title of your content.

* Why can't I upload my picture?
This is probably because you are trying to upload it into a category that isn’t modeling. Modeling is the only category that we allow pictures for. This is in order to ensure the fairness of the contests, as well as the easy use of the website.

* What if I have great music but no video of it, can I still upload my MP3s?
TriFame will accept MP3s, and convert them into basically blank videos that will say "Audio Only". However, we recommend that if you know how to do so, to put your MP3 to a video of something that you feel is appropriate. It does not have to be a video of you playing the music, or singing. However, please do not violate any copyright laws in doing so. See our terms of service page for more information.

* How does my content become featured?
Until the development of the account management area is complete, to delete content you have submitted to TriFame™, simply send an email to info@trifame.com with the subject "Delete Content" and tell us the title of your content.
