This is probably one of the most personal songs I've ever written. It's about my dad not being there for me like he should've been. He was an alcoholic and never had much money for child support to help my mother out. The song is pretty straight-forward. I'm asking him, after everything, if he'd give his own life for me. Now that I've grown older, I know he loves me and he wants nothing more than to see me happy and follow my dream, which is music :)
